The Big W Townsville to Cairns Bike Ride wouldn’t be an event without its riders. Each year, a group of up to 250 cyclists make a commitment to undertake the 350km, 3 day ride and raise funds to support children’s cancer research. Some have never ridden with a group before; some are novice while many have completed the ride over successive years. Cyclists join the ride on road bikes, mountain bikes, tandem bikes and possibly this year even a unicycle. Each year the ride has been a great success thanks to the volunteer supporters who drive the support vehicles, provide refreshments for the riders and eagerly encourage the riders along the way. Without their efforts, the ride would not be able to happen.

Riders and supporters will be out and about raising funds after March 2010. Please give generously. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and riders and supporters can provide you with a receipt. Donations of $500+ will be acknowledged with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation and ride t-shirt.
